The functions and powers of the PDA is prescribed under Section 22 of the T&CP Act of DNH. Subject to any directions given in the rules, the Planning And Development Authority has the following functions:
To prepare the existing land-use map of the planning area;
To prepare an Outline Development Plan (ODP) for the Planning Area;
To prepare a Comprehensive Development Plan;
To prepare and prescribe uses of land within its area;
To prepare schemes of development and undertake their implementation.
Further the PDA also to implement the provisions of the Outline Development Plan (ODP), Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) etc, and the following services are also offered:
Granting of Construction Permission for Residential, Residential – cum –Commercial, Commercial and Industrial buildings as per Development Control Rules specified from time to time
Granting of Occupancy Certificate for Residential, Residential – cum –Commercial, Commercial and Industrial buildings as per Development Control Rules specified from time to time
Granting of approval of various layout plans to have properly planned development for all users of land as per the Development Control Rules specified from time to time.
Comments from a planning point of view for Non-Agriculture use cases and installation of Storage Tanks for Petroleum Product
Levying of Development Charges for various land use conversions as per the Development Control Rules specified f) Comments from the planning point of view for the installation of Storage for Petroleum Product.
